RBC Folate

To help diagnose the cause of anemia or neuropathy (nerve damage); to evaluate nutritional status in some patients; to monitor effectiveness of treatment for B12 or folate deficiency.

Test Requirements

Blood sample.

Preparation for Your Test

Wear a short sleeved shirt or a shirt with sleeves that roll up easily.
Do not any vitamins containing folic acid 5 days prior to test.

Cost

The cost of this test is $35.00.
